Message from Dad

I was so lucky to have such a big adventure with Aidan, Suzie and Clavey(our beagle)today. We took a really long walk all around town. First we cruised up from our house to the mission and rose gardens, saw some flowers and Chumash stuff. Then we went back to our house for a quick snack from Mom, grabbed some better shoes and were off again. Mom joined us for lunch downtown. We make quite a sight all rolling down the street, what with such a handsome boy, beautiful wife and cute dog and all. After lunch (Aidan picked up the tab, what a guy) and we were off again. Mom went home in case we needed a ride later (it was close). We cruised all the way down State Street to the end of the wharf, where Papa needed some more refreshments (no, not beers. Lemonade!). We enjoyed the ocean and views.

We then hoofed it all the way back home on the double. Up State Street again, dodging tourists, disgruntled youth and little old ladies on the sidewalk. Aidan liked looking at the water, birds, old ladies, dogs sniffing Clavey, birds, trucks, shops, plants, homeless people and birds. He seemed to have a great time and liked the long journey. His little legs must be tired from pushing the stroller all that way. Ha ha.

I am the proudest Papa in town, feeling really lucky to have such a special boy, beautiful wife and just ok dog. Until next time, I'm off for more refreshments. PAPA Mike.

More from Mom.
Our man has a good trick now -- Aidan has learned how to turn on the mobile in his crib with his toes. At least three time, Mike or I have woken to baby music coming out of his room in the middle of the night and ran in to find Aidan stretching his legs to hit the buttons with his toes. What a smart kid.

This weekend Aidan and I are off to his forth wedding! Our good friend Sarah Menefee is going to tying the knot in the foothills outside of Los Banos. It should be a wonderful afternoon. Let's hope the drive goes well too.
