Today Mike and I took Aidan for his first hike in the hills of Montecito. We packed up the family and the dog and set out on a mini-adventure. We received a great baby backpack as a gift, so this was the first time we got to use it. It wasn't a very long hike, but Aidan got to see a creek and nature, which was great. Needless to say, Mike's back is hurting tonight from carrying the big man.
This week Aidan had his 6 month shots and weigh-in. He is so aware of what is happening now, so it was terrible to watch him get his shots. I had to help hold him down while they stuck him, which was not fun. Poor little guy.
For his weigh in, our guy topped the scales at 22 pounds. No wonder my back has been killing me. He is still in the 97th percentile for weight and head size (big brain). His height has dropped off to the 75th percentile. Aidan is wearing clothes for a 1 year old and seems to outgrown things overnight. If anyone is thinking of getting him clothes for the holidays, think BIG. He'll probably be wearing Mike's pants by then. ;)
These days Aidan can clearly say "MA MA." (I love it!)
