We were short a "lamb shank" so Aidan was happy to make one out of play dough. Here is the table all set and Aidan showing us his lamb shank. You may have noticed we added Mac-n-cheese to the traditional feast. Aidan is not the most curious eater, so instead of ruining a wonderful evening with a food battle we opted to include one of his favorite foods.
Needless to say, Aidan didn't touch the other foods -- except the parsley, which he ate just "like a giraffe."In other news, Aidan got his first official haircut. I have been trimming it from time to time, but it was starting to need a little professional help. Aidan was actually really excited about getting his haircut. I had been avoiding doing it because it is a battle to have me trim it at home. But Aidan sat right down and was still for the entire cut. It is amazing how grown up he can be when he wants.
Unfortunately the camera I bought with me had a dead battery, but my celphone took a few decent photos of the occasion.
We are off to Los Banos for Easter tomorrow. I am not looking forward to the drive, but it will be nice to see some of my family. We are also excited because my brother and his wife are expecting their first baby, so this will be the first time we get to see Lindsay pregnant. Aidan is really interested in babies and full of questions. Try explaining that babies don't really come out of your butt.
