Yesterday morning it appeared the fire was under control. Smoke was clearing and we were hopeful that everything would be fine. Unfortunately, the winds picked up and everything took a turn for the worst.
We have been evacuated from the house, as of yesterday evening. HUGE THANK YOU to Don and June Kifer who have put us up in their vacation home. We are very comfortable. I was able to walk back to the house this morning and get a few more items. The house is covered in ash, but otherwise looks fine.
So, we are displaced but fine. We have everything that is important, but would really love to go home soon.
