This weekend we loaded up in the minivan for a little day trip to Santa Ynez. It was great to do something different and get out of the fog for the afternoon. We had lunch at the Firestone Brewery, which was good. Mike did a beer tasting there -- which I didn't get a picture of, but would highly recommend. They give you 4 little glasses of beer and a free beer mug. Then we went to Enjoy Cupcakes, to do a cupcake tasting. This was really fun and Aidan loved it. Mike is going to offer a new tour this summer that includes a cupcake tasting, so we needed to try it out. Yummy.
After all that food, we headed to the mini horses -- found a great play ground on the way. 
The mini horse ranch is really a treat - the boys loved it. Blake kept saying "Moo" as he thinks cows and horses are pretty much the same right now. Aidan wanted to ride one, but settled for being able to pet one. They don't let guests into the fenced areas, which we would have gladly paided for - so you can enjoy looking and wandering the property.
We decided we need to do more day trips with the family soon.
